And as it relates to other ongoing projects on the island, we also asked the minister about the Artisan's market. As you remember, the artisans were pushing back against it and now, most of them have yet to move in.

"The last time I was here it was in February for the opening of the new artisan market - but since then no artisans have moved into it - and the artisans remain at their current location? Has this costly project failed?"

"No no what we are doing is remember we have that project coming up for the saga chispas we are going to be building a place for a center of different events we are talking about sports, concerts and eventually that is going to be the plan to put the parking lot there and build upstairs so they will have to move eventually but I won't say it is a failure on their part. The building is there it is beautiful it has an excellent view when the comes they will have to prepare they know they have to move and will not be staying there."

And though Perez says they will have to move at some point, he believes that they will once construction begins at Saca Chispas field. He gave us an update on that project as well.

"The funding is already much secured but it is a bit delayed because there are other projects being done I think there is the one finishing up in Dangriga so while we are asking as much as possible for San Pedro I know BTB has to spread out it's wings across to do other projects and I did speak to the minister as well to bare in mind and to hold on we will do it, but of course Dangriga is about to inaugurate a beautiful place in front so it is fair it is fair game."
