The Michael Ashcroft Foundation has come through with $25,000 to help students in the Mesopotamia Division.
You may recall that two Mondays ago Michael Ashcroft toured the division along with the area representative Michael Finnegan. Finnegan told us he turned to Ashcroft because when government cut his subvention they also cut a lifeline for many of his constituents. Despite criticism from both within and outside his party, Finnegan has maintained he did it for his constituents. Now with the Michael Ashcroft Foundation's commitment, it seems the seasoned politician might have known what he was talking about.
We should note that money won't go to Finnegan, rather it will be funneled from the Foundation to the Mesopotamia Redevelopment Committee who will in turn distribute the money to deserving constituents for books and uniforms.
