It was all celebration in Hattieville today as the village got its very first children's library.
And this morning that inauguration was celebrated with songs, skits, and of course words.
Now, the children of Hattieville have somewhere other than the classroom to learn, dream and grow in knowledge. Somewhere that may perhaps be just a little bit more fun.
It's an occasion that Chief Librarian Luisolla Castillo could describe as nothing other than pleasurable when she took the podium this morning, wishing the children well on their gallops with Ivanhoe, Journey to the depths with Captain Nemo, and even strolls down Belize City streets with Beka Lamb. Here's that story.
The New Library is located at the village entrance right across the street from the police station.
