Earlier we showed you youths learning first aid skills. Well, the Belize City Council is also teaching kids skills that they can use for the rest of their lives. Their summer programs include a number of activities, but today, it was their entrepreneurship program that had the spotlight during an exhibit and inspiration session. The young kids who are participating in the program were tasked with creating a product and marketing it during the miniature expo.
And they received the knowledge to do so during the program, which started on July 4th, and included financial literacy training, as well as marketing, and much more.
Today, the Youth and Community Support Officer from the BCC as well as supporters of the program from HRCU and Founders Hub told us more.
And the kids used today to prepare for the ouncil's Super Sale that occurs monthly on Albert Street. Today we spoke to three young entrepreneurs about the products they will be selling and what they've learnt during the program.
The Super Sale will be held on Saturday July 30th on Albert Street.
