For the past month, 150 children from Belize City participated in a summer program organized by the Belize City Council and its partners from the central government and the private sector.

It's called the Youth Innovation Incubator Summer Program. The purpose of the summer activities was to provide the participants with a safe environment for learning topics such as financial literacy, leadership skills, and music at no cost to their parents. Of course, they also had their fair share of physical activities, such as swimming and sports, to break up the monotony in the summer program.

The participants were acknowledged today in a certificate ceremony and wrap-up exercise. The press was invited, and 7News stopped by to find out more about the summer program's agenda from the organizers:
