And while that race went off without any accidents, road traffic accidents are still a major problem on Belize's highways, with many losing their lives. But come next year, the Minister says he has big plans for a driving school in Belize. Here's what he told us.

"In terms of the increase in motorcycle accidents, is the ministry planning on maybe educating the public on the safeties and dangers…"

"Well first of all, we're going to create a driving school, so I just sanctioned by the CTO that I want to see it become effective maybe by March that when you want a license, you must go to a driving school in this country, when you want to go to another level, you must go to a driving school."
No word yet on whether Compol Chester will be teaching the class on what to do when you see those bold double yellow lines on the highway.
