Ifasina Efunyemi, you may have heard of her way before she ran for BNTU president, when she was just a Stann Creek Ecumenical teacher, a voice in the union among the sea of teachers, clamoring for better pay and better benefits. She contested the fifty-third national BNTU convention in April, and gracefully bowed out after a blowout loss. Efunyemi appeared on Sun Up this morning to set the record straight about her journey in the BNTU leading up to her candidacy for president.
