While the water in San Ignacio is slowly receding, further west Calla Creek residents are in serious danger. 12 adults and 7 minors were stranded on a roof today and needed urgent assistance. One man who had to be rescued told us via phone that while he is now safe, he worries for his wife and kids who have yet to be saved.
Voice of: Flooding victim
"The house are like 4-5 feet deep already and some places about 6-7 feet. We are at a 2 storey building. We have family right here. We have our ladies and kids and we need them to come here. Some places have strong current and we need like a vessel or a boat so we can come out, because some places are deep about 10-11 feet deep already. We put our things high."

"Is that the worst flooding that you've ever seen around your house?"
Voice of: Flooding victim
"Yes. The last time was in 2008. This is a little bit higher than the last time."
Reports are that up to newstime, many people were still stranded on the roof. The Coast Guard were deployed from Bullet Tree to Calla Creek to assist.
