Earlier this month, we told you about that very important finding from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change which concludes authoritatively, for the first time, that climate change is caused by humans.

Several days later, Dr. Colin Young, the Executive Director of the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre, seized on the opportunity to make the case that the largest countries in the world are not doing enough to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions, as they had agreed in the 2015 Paris Agreement. Dr. Young stated in no uncertain terms that the world has only 10 more years to get its act together, or else the continuing damage to the environment caused by global warming will cause the earth's climate to become far harsher than it already is.

Well, the Climate Change agencies in Belize and the NGO stakeholders, demonstrated Belize's commitment to responsible climate behavior today. They did so by engaging in an all-day virtual workshop called the "National Climate Change Policy, Strategy. and Master Plan, and Climate Finance Strategy".

At this time, the experts are in the final stages of crafting the National Climate Change Masterplan 2021 to 2025, and they wanted input from other partners on implementation.

7News tuned in to the all-day virtual session, and here's a small excerpt from the discussions about the masterplan and its objectives in Belize:
