And moving to the west, a car with seven people flipped several times on the George Price Highway this evening around 4. According to an eyewitness, it was a harrowing scene when the Toyota Corolla, which was travelling at around 75 miles per hour, overtook him and three other cars between mile 45 and 46 heading eastbound.

The driver suddenly lost control of the vehicle and it careened off the road, and flipped violently forward.

As it tumbled, one of the three children who was sitting in the lap of an adult was flung out of the vehicle and sustained non fatal head injuries.

While there were no fatalities, the other passengers received varying degrees of injuries. The mother of the teenage girl flung from the vehicle was also seriously injured to the head. Another woman was seen with an injury on her chin and lip. The other four people received abrasions and other minor injuries. All seven people were rushed to the hospital in an ambulance and are being treated at this time.
