And switching now to environmental news, the Cabinet has approved new dates for the amendments to the plastic regulations to take effect.

Those regulations originally set to take effect in pre-pandemic days have become a constantly moving target, leaving Belize a no man's land between the still expensive biodegradable or at least partially biodegradable products and the very worst of the foam plates.

But, it seems that the Cabinet has finally fixed the goal post setting down the effective dates of Jan 31st, February 28th, and 31st of March for the respective ceasing of manufacturing, Sale, and Possession of styrofoam products.

Here's hoping that these often moved dates will finally stick.
