The Participation of Civil Society Organisations in the Belize Sustainable Energy Roadmap is a project that was launched yesterday.
It's a 24 month project focussing on the Belize Sustainable Energy Roadmap. Two southern organizaitons, Humana People to People-Belize and Ya'axche Conservation jointly launched their two separate 24-month projects, starting in February of this year.
Over the next two years they will be working closely with their communities contributing to the transition into solar-powered technologies. Ya'axché's Christina Garcia said the program will benefit Golden Stream villagers:

Humana People to People-Belize will focus on people who would otherwise have to leave their communities due to lack of opportunity. Both projects will be supported with technical assistance from the Energy Unit.
