Last week, we also asked the Minister of sustainable Development about the urgency to get this done:

"So, Minister Habet did make that promise to come in and do that and establish the department of environment and forestry as well. And we've offered them, in any way we can assist because you know, you need boats to move around and Minister Habet and the department know that they have access to boats to go and do any inspections including Caye Caulker as well."
"The department is going to have two permanent persons working in that department there. So, readily we'll be able to have the office open and go in and make any reports that we have. I've been asking for it for quite some time now."
