Tonight residents of Western Belize, especially San Ignacio and Santa Elena are being smothered in smoke from forest fires. One resident told us "the smoke is so thick you can taste it."
A thick cloud of smoke from the fires are sitting on the twin towns and residents report swollen and irritated eyes and other respiratory difficulties.
