On Thursday 8-year-old accident victim Shantay Garnett's outlook for recovery was looking grim as the child was in critical condition with serious head trauma after being run over by an ambulance. But never underestimate the healing powers of children, and tonight her recovery is just about a sure thing. This evening we visited the 8-year-old at the Pediatric Ward of the KHMH where we found her and her mother both in high spirits.
Shantay’s Mother,
“I feel a lot better now than when I first got here and saw my daughter in that condition. I just thank God that is alright so far and thank the doctors them for helping her a lot.”
“I never lost faith. When I saw my little girl I didn’t broke down and lost faith because I knew she was going to make it.”
