The newly renovated and retrofitted Northern Regional Hospital was handed over this morning. For $3.1 million the formerly dilapidated building had its roof, windows, tiles, doors, ceiling and corridors fixed. The grounds were also upgraded. The work was carried out by Mitchell Moody and Associates and it took ten months to complete. It is a part of the Health Reform Project funded by the IADB. Renovation and retrofitting was also done on the Corozal Community Hospital.
