Officially the Ministry of Health’s report on the circumstances surrounding the birth and death of baby Andy Jones Jr. at the PG Hospital has not been released. But the baby’s parents – Cenaida Raymundo and Andy Jones Sr. say they’ve been told that it is complete. They claim the conclusion is that Cenaida did nothing wrong and neither did the PG Hospital. They say they’ve been told that there wasn’t enough staff on duty because another mother was giving birth at the same that Cenaida was. It is a conclusion that has reignited anger in the grieving mother who told us via phone from Toledo that it is a cover up.

“They had enough doctors in their hospital but they are just making any excuse to cover their backs. Everyone knows, the whole world knows, that they are just trying to cover their backs. I don’t know what to think about those people. I was shocked when I heard. I said my goodness, those people, they are just use to it.”

“No I am not satisfied with the report because everything they are saying is just lies. We are asking for an independent investigation.”

They are saying the reason why they couldn’t help you is because they had somebody else who was having a baby right but you already had your baby and they refused to go and help you right?

“Yes I already had my baby but they refused and they heard me screaming but they ignored me while I was screaming.”

“Yes I believe this is covering up.”
Cenaida says they plan to sue. We’ve been trying to contact a Ministry of Health official for confirmation of the finding but CEO Peter Allen was in Punta Gorda and unavailable.
