“No comment at this time” – that’s what President of the Belize Medical and Dental Union John Sosa told us today about the quick audit of the KHMH. The report into only those allegations set forward by the Leader of the Opposition, was released yesterday and it shows what the Prime Minister’s Office described as, “extremely inflated prices paid (for medical supplies)...that has given legitimacy to complaints of corruption.”

The Prime Minister has recommended to the board that it, “must act against the person or persons responsible.”
The board has not taken any decision at this time. We are hoping to get some comment tomorrow after another mediation session is held between the Labour Commissioner, the Hospital and the Medical and Dental Union.
