Last night, shortly after the news, the Ministry of Health released the latest COVID test results.
From 133 samples, only 8 were positive for the coronavirus. That brings the country's total number of confirmed cases to 1,536.
Out of the 8 newly detected cases yesterday, 1 came from Concepcion in Corozal. Another came from San Ignacio in the Cayo District. There was 1 from San Roman in the Stann Creek District. Finally, in the Belize District, 2 came from San Pedro, another 2 from Caye Caulker, and the final one was from Belize City.
33 more people have fully recovered from the virus, which brings that total now to 696 people who have survived.
Currently, there are 821 active cases which is 53.5% of the total number of confirmed cases.
