The latest COVID test results released last night show 34 new cases, in a pool of 193 tests. That's a positive rate of 18% - twice that of that the four days previous.
The breakdown of new cases is as follows: nine in the Corozal District, 7 in town, 1 in Consejo, and 1 in San Andres.
There are 15 new cases in Orange Walk - 3 in the town, 3 in Trinidad, 1 in San Pablo, 1 in San Jose, 1 in Nuevo San Juan, 1 in Chan Pine Ridge, 1 in Guinea Grass, 1 in San Luis, 1 in San Lazaro, 1 from San Roman in Corozal, but identified in Orange Walk and 2 from Hiccattee Creek, in Toledo but also identified in Orange Walk.
There are 7 new cases in the Belize District - 2 in Belize City, 3 in San Pedro, 1 in Caye Caulker, and 1 from Unitedville identified at the KHMH.
In Cayo, there is one new case in San Jose Succotz, in Stann Creek, 1 new case in Independence, and in Toledo, 1 case from Cayo.
And tonight, the death count is up to 22, which is a male in his 30's from the Cayo District who had been at the ICU of KHMH for over two weeks.
With 37 recoveries, there are now 644 active cases.
