There are plenty of COVID awareness public service announcements and, by and large, these are mostly aired free of charge by the media.
But, now, courtesy the UK, government will have a budget for a COVID awareness media campaign.
Yesterday in Belmopan, the British High Commissioner Claire Evans and the Chief Executive Officer of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Lou-Anne Burns signed an $80,490 dollar Grant Agreement in support of Belize's "National Media Campaign on SARS-CoV-2".
A release says the grant will be used to support the dissemination of accurate and up-to-date information through social media, printed media, and infomercial campaigns. The ads will focus on health and safety efforts, and, quote, "to help ensure that myths and rumours which abound are minimised."
The release adds, quote, "This campaign will help reduce stress and anxiety within the society."
