Tonight, Face-to-Face classroom instruction remains under threat, the threat of COVID-19 and the spike in numbers possibly caused by as yet unspecified variants of the COVID-19 disease.
But face to face learning in high school and a portion of primary school could be saved yet. That's because of the long-promised Pfizer vaccines donated by the U.S. government and headed straight to Belize.
We got the official word from U.S. Acting Deputy Chief of Mission Andie De Arment this morning in Corozal when she was asked about upcoming collaborations between the U.S. and Belize.

"One of the big ones is vaccines so keep your ears and eyes open, we don't have the exact delivery date but we do know a substantial donation of Pfizer vaccines is on its way to Belize from the United States."
Once arrived Pfizer vaccines are expected to be earmarked specifically for adolescents, those in the 12-17 age bracket.
