And three fully vaxxed deaths in the past three days has left the vaccinated concerned. It begs the question, what factors contributed to these deaths? Well, as you know, the vaccine doesn't offer a 100% guarantee of surviving the virus, but it definitely adds a strong line of defense, and that is evident since there has a lot more unvaccinated deaths.
And according to Dr Melissa Diaz, co-morbidities and age are a major factor in deaths of those who had both jabs. She explained this to our colleagues at Krem yesterday, saying that of the 14 vaxxed patients who died between July and this past Wednesday, most of them suffered from underlying conditions and were elderly. She noted that of all the deaths in the 20's age range, none of them were vaxxed. Here's how she put it.

"We have looked at each case of the fully vaccinated who have died and every case had some comorbidities and I know that the public has heard a lot about comorbidities are like for instance diabetes which is elevated sugar or uncontrolled sugar in the blood, high blood pressure, asthma, chronic obstructed airway disease, HIV, pregnancy is not a comorbidity, but a form of immune suppressed state, but of these people who have died the majority were 50 and older. I think 13 were 50 and over. There was one person below 50 and every person had a comorbidity, so they had something that existed to reduce their defense system or your body's ability to fight off an infection and most commonly and we've seem even in the unvaccinated younger groups, most commonly it is the obesity is a significant risk factor, but as well out of the 14 deaths, 11 were diabetic. so these comorbidities or these chronic illnesses cause you body to already be in a state of not being able to defend itself from infections, so on top of that immune suppress state, now you bring a variant like Delta variant and of course then you get other complications most commonly pneumonia, sepsis and you end up needing to be hospitalized and you can get severe disease."
"But what I really want to highlight as well, is when you look at the deaths that have occurred throughout from July to now with 97 deaths - when you look at the age ranges, you would see the young person who are dying are unvaccinated. So, it's telling us that even if you don't have a comorbidity even if you are otherwise young and considered able to fight off an infection, the Delta variant is such a strong variant and it causes such severe disease that it can caused significant disease and death among the unvaccinated."
There have been two additional vaxxed deaths since Wednesday, putting the total at 16.
