Less than two weeks ago, the Ministry of Health issued an SI relaxing the curfew hours by an hour on weekdays and two on weekends. Tonight, they've extended it some more. Starting tonight, the curfew begins at 11pm from Sunday to Thursday, and at midnight on Fridays and Saturday. It ends at 4:00 am every morning. For minors, the curfew has been extended by two hours, from 6pm to 8pm.
Additionally, with the Omicron variant, the SI also mandates that any person entering Belize from Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa or Zimbabwe shall be immunized and be tested in Belize in addition to being subject to a period of 10 days' quarantine at a government-designated quarantine facility in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health.
