At the top of the news, we told you how the Cabinet has approved the reopening of the country's land borders, starting on New Year's Day. Well, there are a few more pieces of news coming out of Tuesday's meeting.

The Minister of Health and Wellness informed the Cabinet that his ministry is getting ready to strengthen the public health system's ability to care for COVID-19 patients, especially since the Omicron variant keeps getting closer to Belize's borders. 5 new ventilators and patient monitors will be donated to the KHMH Hospital.
