There are no new deaths but the report shows 200 new cases along with a very high positivity rate of 16.73%.
Those worrying numbers bring Belize's active cases back up to 887. And tonight the Ministry of Health's daily graphic shows that 165 of those cases were identified in the Belize district, 64 in the Cayo district, and 39 in the Orange Walk district.
There are 11 people currently hospitalized, 3 of them in the ICU. Of those, 5 are fully vaccinated, 2 are partially vaccinated and 4 are unvaccinated.
Once again, we note that while the number of active cases continues to climb, still - there's nothing official on whether Omicron is present in Belize, or that testing is being done to determine what variants are currently in the country.
