Acutely Ill COVID Cruiser Brought To City

A video circulating showing health officials in PPE's on a catamaran caught the attention of many Belizeans. In the video, the officials are seen wheeling a stretcher while others are carrying a patient. Today, deputy director of the Central Health Region, Dr Melissa Diaz, explained that it was an emergency transfer from a cruise ship. A patient infected with COVID had to be brought onshore for medical care.
