Health Minister At Biggest Hospital

And while Belizeans look forward with hopeful anticipation to Tuesday's border re-opening, New Minister of Health Kevin Bernard has been hard at work battening down the health and wellness hatches against the gathering COVID storm.

That preparation, part of his efforts to hit the ground running in his new post, has consisted of countrywide familiarization tours of medical facilities. Last week that meant a visit to the national referral hospital, the KHMH.

Press wasn't invited on the tour but the minister sent out an edited one-minute review of the visit, complete with a text narrative. In it he expresses the desire to, quote: " lead not from top-to-bottom but from bottom to top from every level of the Ministry of Health and wellness."
