And last Monday, Pol signed an MOU with the general manager of NHI, Dr Ramon Figueroa. That MOU underscores GOB's commitment to enhancing healthcare for children living with HIV by providing nutritional and vitamin support as well as expanding and integrating pre-exposure prophylaxis services across NHI. "The Ministry of Economic Transformation has been identified as the principal recipient to administer and manage global funds as of December 1st of 2025. So what we did with NHI is part of the implementation of an action plan that we have with the global fund. The fund has provided and will continue to provide financing for 3 years and we have different partners and recipients that will be benefitting from these funds. The Ministry of Economic Development, we are just the principal recipient and we manage the funds on behalf of the global fund."
