At the end of last month, Belize participated in the 56th Ordinary Meeting of the Council of Ministers of Finance of Central America that was held in Antigua, Guatemala. The Belizean delegation was headed by Minister of State Christopher Coye, who took the opportunity to hold a bilateral meeting with Guatemala's Minister of Finance. CEO in the Ministry of Economic Transformation, Carlos Pol - who was also a part of the delegation - told us how that went.

"We attended the COSEFIN and while being there because we have the representative from SICA countries and we had the opportunity to have bilateral with the Minister of Finance of Guatemala and Minister Coye was able to bring four or five points of interest to Belize so we just expanded on it and he agreed to discuss it with his president because he was just there as the Minister of Finance but the points we discussed were at a national level."
