And while all this utility talk is expected to be bouncing around tomorrow's house meeting - House Speaker Valerie Woods won't be there to mediate.

That's because she's just finishing up with cancer therapy in the US.

This morning in Houston at the MD Anderson Cancer Centre, Woods "rang the bell" - a symbolic gesture which denotes that she has successfully completed her prescribed course of treatment.

It marks a major milestone for cancer patients, and means that they have completed chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy.

It also signifies that the patient is entering another from active treatment to recovery and survivorship.

Woods will return to her speaker's chair for the meeting following tomorrow's one.
