Belize Has a New King, He is Charles III, King of the United Kingdom and 14 other realms.
And on Saturday at dawn in Belize, the monarch was anointed with oil and Crowned with the Crown of St. Edward.
In attendance at Westminster Abbey for this spectacular bit of pageantry were Belize's Minister of Culture Francis Fonseca, Governor General Froyla Tzalam, and Belize's High Commissioner to the UK Therese Rath.
And during the processions on Saturday four BDF soldiers could be seen all in white at the front of a troop proudly representing Belize.
We shone again at the coronation concert when for a moment the stage was lit up with colours and images celebrating the beauty of Belize.
And in the stands just behind the King, Queen and princes of Wales, Our High Commissioner Therese Rath was once front and centre taking in the historic moment.
But here at home with all the festivities over, there is still some as to whether our new allegiance to this king will last the decade. As we told you last week PM Briceno has signalled a move to republicanism with - at this time - no mention of a referendum.
We'll keep following it.
