And finally tonight, in a press briefing issued late Wednesday evening, António Guterres, UN Secretary-General stated that in coordination with the affected nations, he is considering launching an appeal to address humanitarian needs arising from the impact of Hurricane Beryl. He added that $4 million will be made available from the UN Central Emergency Response Fund to Grenada, Jamaica and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Guterres shared that UN humanitarian officials in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and in Grenada are working with local officials, assisting damage assessment and response.Teams from the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs are also in Barbados, supporting efforts in the country and the eastern Caribbean, teams are also heading to Belize and Jamaica.

And today, Prime MinisterJohn Briceno, participated in the Twentieth Special Emergency Meeting of CARICOM Heads to discuss Hurricane Beryl's impact on the region. He announced a financial contribution from Belize to St Vincent and the Grenadines and Grenada to support their hurricane recovery efforts. PM Briceno also offered to deploy linesmen to assist with restoration of electricity in affected areas.
