The IMF has said government doesn't have any money to spend on capital projects but you can't tell that to GOB who has found $6.8 million to build the Agripino Cawich Memorial Bridge.

The bridge, which will memorialize former Cayo south area representative Agripino Cawich, will be built in Valley of Peace to replace the young bank ferry across the Belize River which was prone to flooding.

A release from GOB says the new bridge will benefit about 3000 residents of the Valley of Peace community. Once completed the $6.8 million steel truss bridge will be the fourth largest bridge in the country.

Johnston international will be constructing the bridge, which is scheduled for completion in June of 2005.
