Our dead can now rest in peace as City Hall today announced that they have resumed selling grave spaces at the Lord Ridge Cemetery. We say resumed because as we reported on Friday the council had stopped selling grave plots and were only leasing the spaces for 10 years. And because the plots were being leased, CITCO had also stopped customers from tombing the grave. After denying the story throughout, today in an official release City Hall again denied the report and announced that the old prices are in effect. Those prices are $150 for a grave space to be tombed and $75 for a ground grave space.

In other news from City Hall, the much hyped Mayor's charity ball and banquet has been postponed until September. The City Council says the reason is because support was dismal. Proceeds from the ball were going to homeless programs and the Mental Health Association. A similar ball was held last year and the City Council says $20,000 was raised then.
