For commuters, it more than unacceptable, it's unliveable, and this evening Alfonso Noble was at the center of their fury, the Novelo's Terminal. He spoke with Shirlene Tablada, the commuters' representative on the Transport Board.

Shirlene Tablada, Commuter
"I am very upset because I came here along with other commuters only to find out there are no buses running. You cannot just put off a service without any kind of notice to people and having them showing up and expecting to get a bus home and then there is no bus. That is totally unfair."

Alfonso Noble,
Is this an inconvenience for you?

Shirlene Tablada,
"It's a total inconvenience yes. At the end of the day the commuters need to be served and that is all I am concerned about. I don't think that the solution to this problem is just to cut the runs. They need to sit down and talk about it in a amicable fashion and I need to also say that the board has been meeting and discussing this issue, its not that the board has been neglecting this issue. So they need to wait to see what will happen before making such a drastic action because at the end of the day it's the commuters that are suffering."

Commuter #2: I came to the bus terminal and when I got here they told me there is no buses going to Belmopan. They said they have stopped doing the runs, they are cutting back on the runs and are only doing two runs a day.
AN: How is this inconveniencing you?
Commuter #2: I come to work everyday so it's very inconvenient, especially because they haven't announced anything public. I depend on the bus everyday to go back and forth to work.
AN: Are you upset right now?
Commuter #2: Well I'm a little disgruntled because I came here, I'm wondering what's happening, and no one has information on how I'm going to get home.

Commuter #3: I'm trying to get the bus to go home to Belmopan and when I went in there I was informed that Novelo's Terminal is no longer taking any bus to Belmopan.
AN: Is this inconveniencing you?
Commuter #3: Definitely.
AN: How so?
Commuter #3: Well if they had the regular route I would have been on a bus by now, I would have been in Hattieville Village by now, halfway home.
AN: So you're going to have to wait out here.
Commuter #3: I am not certain if a bus is even going to show up.
