Henderson is equally optimistic about the situation at the Kendall Bridge where the temporary causeway was washed away yesterday. Henderson says it is back up and traffic is moving.
Cadet Henderson,
“Yesterday we suffered a washout but it was restored by 4pm. We have just for the first time got confirmation from the US military that the temporary modular emergency bridge arrives on the 20th of October. We are putting together a design and we hope to construct this entire bridge in one month. We already have piles, we’ve identified all the material we need for the six structural support because the bridge has five spans and within two weeks we will commence.”
And while that’s the temporary bridge, a permanent structure should be constructed within the next two years.
