A woman who has spent her whole life in the Albert division was the recipient of a one-bedroom home this afternoon. It's a part of the Ministry of Housing's program to provide thousands of needy Belizeans with a place to call their own. As we have reported, the payments are minimal and the homes are built in such a way that it can always be renovated afterwards. The program started in Cayo and since then, dozens of houses have been built. And today, Margaret McDougall got hers. Courtney Menzies was at the ceremony and has this story.

Tomorrow the house hand over tour moves back to Belmopan and Cayo South. The PUP committed to build 10,000 homes in this term of office - a number which they now concede will not be achieved.
