And turning now to Hurricane relief news, November rain fell on Belize City twice in the last 24 hours.

That's consequential for many residents who tonight still don't have a roof over their heads, and it's a post-Lisa quandary for the G.O.B. which has resulted from the poor state of housing stock that had been the pre-storm reality.

Now, many are wondering what the government intends to do about residential infrastructure. We put that question to the Prime Minister this morning when he appeared on Sunup on 7 and he told us that while his government truly wishes they could help everyone, that just isn't the reality. Here's a bit of what they are doing:

Hon. John Briceno, Prime Minister
"The important thing is that we want to see how we can improve the housing stock. We have built 50 houses already in the Boom area, of which 30 of them will be designated for the city residents and we are hoping that working along with the area reps., that the people who lost their houses could be put into those houses. Some people will say these are not big houses, but is a well-built house. None of those houses were damaged by the hurricane. It's designed in such a way that with time you could add another 2-3 rooms and they have the plan and everything. But you have something to start."
