PM Willing To Discuss Increments, But Insists They Won't Be Automatic

And switching to issues of the public service and teachers…they have been demanding that their frozen increments be restored. The PM said it won't be automatic:

"Increments unfrozen and they say you are ignoring that."

"I have not been ignoring them. The joint union it's not me to meet with them, It's the DPM and the others, but we have agreed that we are going to meet with them shortly, but we have matters to do. But I want to put this on record, increments are not automatic. Increments is based on merit and that's what we have to get the union to understand that increments are based on merit."
