In other news about the judiciary, Governor-General Frolya Tzalam swore in three members of the judiciary: Chief Justice Louise Blenman, Justice Minette Hafiz-Bertram, and Justice Michelle Arana.

Chief Justice Blenman was sworn in on September 2, but due to the passing of the Senior Courts Bill, which saw the restructuring of the Office of the Chief Justice, she was sworn in a second time on November 22. With this new procedure, she can now assume her new role as the judicial leader of the High Court - formerly the Supreme Court - and the Court of Appeal.

Justice Hafiz-Bertram was sworn in on November 22 as the President of the Court of Appeal. Since December 2020, she has held the post of Acting President.

And Finally, Justice Michelle Arana was sworn in on Wednesday as a judge of the Court of Appeal. She served as Acting Chief Justice from April 2020 until the recent appointment of Chief Justice Blenman.
