And while Ritchie's is accused of having old buses, what about the old Belize City bus terminal that hurricane Lisa tore up? You heard Ferguson say that it was up to the Ministry of Infrastructure to fix it, and then you heard Minister Julius Espat say they have to wait on the funding and directives.
Well, Ferguson says he's taken matters into his own hands and commuters are about to see a big change pretty soon.
Rodwell Ferguson, Minister of Transport
"When last did you go to the bus terminal? Did you see any movement?" You need to do your homework before you come and ask these questions."
Reporter
"What's the movement, sir?"
Rodwell Ferguson, Minister of Transport
"Work is going on as I speak."
Reporter
"Can you tell us what are the projections, what are the time lines for completion of work. Who is doing it?"
Rodwell Ferguson, Minister of Transport
"I can tell you within a month and a half you will see some drastic progress at the Belize City bus terminal."
Reporter
"Is it your ministry doing the works or Ministry of Infrastructure?"
Rodwell Ferguson, Minister of Transport
"My ministry doing the work."
We'll keep following it.
