Sand And Gravel To Smother Fire In Shipyard

And late information into 7News is that a fire broke out this evening in the Shipyard Community in Orange Walk.

Reports tell us the residents have tried to call the fire department but without success. With no fire trucks arriving late this evening, the villagers banded together to throw sand and gravel on the flames to tame and hopefully extinguish it. Members of the community are currently dropping off loads of sand and gravel at the scene of the fire. No injuries have been reported.
