Yesterday we showed you the inside of the National Assembly Building as it was inaugurated with a joint sitting for the visiting president of Guyana.
But today all the doors of the National Assembly were open wide to welcome the media for a tour of the newly renovated offices, galleries, and chambers.
The rebuild took many years and many millions, but like any major project, the engineers ran into many obstacles - the first being that the 1.5 million dollar grant from the Taiwanese just wasn't enough for all that needed to be done.
However, about 16 months later, the National Assembly is open once again for the parliamentarians to conduct the business of the people. Courtney Menzies was there today and has this story.
The public galleries are opened again and the public is invited to experience the new environs by attending house meetings.
