The PUP convention season continued over the weekend when two of the largest constituencies, Port Loyola and Cayo South held their events. In Port Loyola, losing PUP City Council candidate Oscar Rosado emerged victorious in this one, defeating former PUP City Councilor Jenny Craig. And while Rosado was victorious the PUP have not much to cheer about in this division, as only 450 voters total turned out to lead Rosado to a comfortable victory where he got 303 votes and Craig got 136.
In Cayo South former candidate, Joaquin Cawich was defeated by former Senator Charles Galvez. Galvez earned 613 votes to Cawich's 568. Cawich is the son of deceased former incumbent Agripino Cawich but lost in a by election after the elder Cawich's death, allowing John Saldivar to take the Cayo South seat in the House.
