Supreme Court Justice and Co-Chair of the DFC Commissions of Inquiry Herbert Lord has come under fire in the past week. According to multiple reports in the press, he ignored an invitation from co-chair Merlene Martinez to attend hearings on Monday. Well we spoke to Justice Lord yesterday and he said he received no invitation and only learned of those hearings through press reports on Tuesday.
And more than that, he says he is no longer a member of the commission, and ceased being that when his report was submitted to and accepted by the Prime Minister.
And what about other reports that he’s still being paid to participate in the Commission’s work. Lord says he has no knowledge of that and has received no payments.
