Not this year - but very soon after that. That's how it looks for general elections. We say that after getting wind of Government Circular 19 of 2007 which was sent out yesterday. It advises all heads of ministries and departments that the Election and Boundaries Department is currently preparing its list of public officers who will be assigned election duties for the 2008 general. The circular advises Heads of Department that those names should be submitted no later than the 30th November. The circular comes from Myrtle Palacio, the CEO in the Office of Governance who is also the former Chief Elections Officer.
