Last week, the new bosses at the Ministry of Natural Resources sent out letters of caution to all those holding land in the University Heights Development Area, a project related to Jose Coye. Well today Coye’s Caribbean Shores Committee issued a release calling the action vindictive, malicious and legally without basis. The statement says it is an attempt to defame Coye and his family and a blatant interference with property rights.

The position of the Ministry is that the transaction between the former government and Coye was not at arms length and the price, questionable. We understand that Coye has retained an attorney to pursue his rights in the case.
