The planners - or maybe they are just dreamers - behind the so called leadership debate have set a debate date for the 28th October.

The group - composing representatives of the Belize Chamber of Commerce & Industry, RSV Media Limited & Galen University - says it has developed attached guidelines that to govern the Prime Ministerial Debate and have submitted them to the leaders of the four political parties contesting the General Elections slated for November 11th 2020.

Well, they seem very gung ho, but out inside information suggests that this is far from a done deal with the two major mass parties - who, last we checked, had not give anything more than polite responses to the proposed debate.

We'll wait and see.
