And while the City Council claims there are no complaints, they have some of their own. They were feeling left out after the Taiwan Embassy held a handing over ceremony for the "Downtown Belize City Walking Tour Mobile Application" and invited the Ministry of Tourism, but excluded the council.

One councillor felt so sharply snubbed that he took to social media to claim that the Taiwanese Government were agents of the UDP. He has since taken down the post, but the Mayor agrees that they should have been invited to the ceremony.

"That dah mih a situation where we felt as a council again that we should have been included in that handing over ceremony. We were excluded, as per usual, many times our council is excluded, but we continue to have a good relationship with the Taiwanese, the ambassador and the entire team here, we continue to build on that. The two countries, we are not diplomats, but the two counties maintain strong relationships and we comply along with it."
